I found a very interesting article on my great-great grandfather James Barnett McMichael in the Ancestry.com Historical Newspaper Collection. The May 25, 1892 Edwardsville Intelligencer quoted from an interview with him in the St. Louis Globe Democrat titled "An Eventful Record". I now realize that he had a remarkable life, and I am hoping to learn more about him. I ordered a copy of the newspaper, and I’ll preserve it so my family can know more about "Barney" McMichael than when he was born and when he died. –Marjorie
